Trump Says Venezuelan Oil Headed to Houston

(MENAFN) U.S. President Donald Trump remarked on Tuesday that the United States and Venezuela’s authorities are “getting along very well,” and he reported that close to 50 million barrels of Venezuelan crude are on their way to Houston, Texas.

When asked by journalists in the Oval Office if he intended to partner with Colombian President Gustavo Petro to fight “terrorist organizations” in Venezuela, Trump replied affirmatively, saying: “Well, they want me to do that, and we will.”

Trump reiterated his view of cooperation with Venezuelan leadership, stating that they have welcomed the oil shipment and that relations are positive. “We took in 50 million barrels of oil. It's right now heading to Houston, and we’re getting along very well with them,” he added.

In addition, Trump described his earlier meeting with President Petro at the White House as “very good,” and emphasized once more: “We got along very well.”
